The site is located within the grounds of Gortin Glens Forest Park which is operated by the Forestry service and located within Fermanagh & Omagh District Council. The new entrance is located on the Lisnaharney Road just 20m off the Glenpark Road prior to main entrance to Gortin Glens Forest Park.
The contract involved the Construction of new hardcore entrance from Lisnaharney Road into existing yard, kerbing, erection of new fences and entrance barrier. Construction of 170m of pathways to existing forest trails, stream crossing, avoiding causing any damage to stream bed, cutting back of branches, removal of shrubbery. Installation of SMA surface and thermoplastic lining works.
During the project the following works were completed;
- Cutting tree branches
- Cutting Shrubbery and removing off site
- Construction of hardcore roadway
- Construction of hardcore path
- Construction of stream crossing
- Repair surface of existing car park
- Erecting new fences
