Project Details:
Work on this project included the demolition of existing structures associated with bay 65 including reinforced concrete gantries, supporting redundant electrical equipment, selected pad foundation and removal of redundant cable trenches. The contract also required the removal of brick firewall.
Once removal and demolition of redundant structures was completed the main areas of work under the contract involved the following:
- Construction of replacement brick fire wall associated with IBTX- Tx2
- Refurbishment of HV and Multicore Cable Trenches
- Construction of multicore ducting and cubis type access chambers
- Refurbishment of existing structural bases
- Installation of concrete plinths to support the new framework inside the substation
