Project Details:
Annaghmore East Bog is a Peat Bog operated by Bord na Mona located in Galway. The works carried out involved the development of the area to facilitate the harvesting of peat. The works package included:
- Clearing of existing vegetation and bushes
- Grading of 19nr proposed spread ground areas
- Excavation of a new silt pond
- Construction of silt and attenuation pond
- Cleaning of existing drains
- Construction of new floating road
- Installation of access roads to spread grounds
- Construction of piped culverts at new drain crossings
